i mentioned a while ago that i have been working on a new project. as it is at a pretty stable point, i’ll make an official post about it. it is (as a lot of you will already have found out) a new version of my upload board system. i have spent many, many hours perfecting its features, and i believe they are very unique at that.

one thing i will always be glad to receive is feedback. positive, negative, either works. it is the only way i can make improvements beyond my own imagination! go try it out, and use it regularly if you find it useful :) . itd be nice to build a small userbase to make posting to and viewing the board an enjoyable experience.

noteworthy to mention that you should not visit uppy using internet explorer. and if at all costs you must, use IE7, where it is actually usable (but fails to display some elements in the correct place). i plan on adding ie support at some point, but this is very low priority. who uses ie anyway?

lastly, and probably of equal importance, is the move from psrv.ath.cx to my new domain – ppy.sh. things are still not in place yet – i am planning a full overhaul of this blog, as well as the site residing at the new domain. therefore i will probably post another update regarding this at a later stage :) .

花より男子 Returns!

if you aren’t convinced that you need to watch this sequel yet, then you probably shouldn’t watch it. i had pretty low expectations after seeing the 1.5hour preview that aired a couple of weeks ago, but the first episode really did start this series with a .. bang!

two groups are hard-subbing… what a pity. noone has officially dedicated themselves to doing soft subs. its a pity i don’t think i have enough time to get some together or i would :( . i did find some soft subs some b**** made for the first episode (trust me, you don’t want to see her website).

lots of stuff is happening!

i bought a new piano keyboard. very nice to be able to place a piano with a decent touch response once again :) .

i found out my webserver is being spammed by phent*rmine merchants. who apparently reside at respected locations such as Winthrop University. approximately 10 requests per minute, where they attempt to get advertising by setting their referring urls to dodgy links, while spamming your site if they manage that (but oh no! they aren’t smart enough to do maths yet :) ).

i have been working on a newish project, and while its not really stable enough for public release just yet, it should be quite soon. quite an interesting piece of work! i lost all but 2 hours of sleep last night to it though, unfortunately. going to be hard to recover from this… toriaezu, tanoshimishitene~

in other news, falco (or psrv, for the nostalgic ones around) got attacked by a virus. i won’t say how this happened, because as usual its due to my own stupidity. luckily, nobody (and no files) were harmed, and all is peaceful once again in the land of peppiness.

i have some interesting stuff in my blog’s blog (lol) and will hopefully get around to writing it up when the time presents itself.

LANパーティーで新しい年を(笑

After many weeks of coming close to getting peoples together to play some new wii titles, but no real success, i was very doubtful that we would experience the awesomeness i anticipated 4 player wii sports to be.  Surprisingly, enough people were free new years eve that we managed to do just this!

It is kind of a pity that the wii does not support over 4 players simultaneously – we had wiimotes falling from the sky.  We went through the rounds of wii tennis, bowling, and a bit of wiiplay thrown in for some variety (albeit only supporting two players).  It is a pity that rayman has to be completed single player in order to unlock multiplayer, or that could have been added to the list of playable games.

By far though, the gamecube games were what provided the most enjoyment.  Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Party 4(?) and Super Smash Brothers were played for many hours.  These three games are really great with four players (although mario party got a bit tiresome by the 10th turn).  I think this is definitely one of the less mentioned selling points of the Wii – there are a lot of very playable gamecube games out there, which adds value to a system with a very short list of currently available native titles.

This was also my first chance to see Gears of War.  Very impressive graphics and gameplay – almost makes me want a 360.  DOAX2 was also… impressive in the graphics department ;) .  HMM.
