another project down.  this time it was a dvd rental management system.  quite a lot of fun to make, really.  if you are that way inclined, you could even give the system a whirl here.  don’t worry about breaking it – its a testbed version.

other than not sleeping much, i haven’t had time to do anything worth talking about.  kinda sucks when i go to write a blog entry, but life is enjoyable somehow!  only two more deadline and my uni year is over, bar exams.  but they are exams – riiiight? night before study will do fine!

well i havent posted for a while. with good reason! uni have been very busy and continues to be, with 3 group assignments on an ongoing basis along with the usual committments. i almost forgot how to play ro, and how to sleep.

the end is within sight (well, kind of) as two of the major deadlines fall on monday and wednesday. i have a cache of entries in my head which i really want to blog about, so hopefully i wont forget before i get the time to actually do so.

i guess i don’t have much to show, except a prototype of the jabber client which i have been spending most of my life working on lately.

i’ve been listening to a lot of the naruto op/ed songs – they really got some nice artists for them. my playlist is way too small and i cbfd making it bigger, but i occasionally drag a new folder in there for some variation!

a feature i’ve been seeking forever. it was only yesterday that i found a mod for putty that allows the clicking of urls to open them directly in a browser!

i suggest you get it and give it a try.

since i returned from japan, i have been without a mobile. i thought it wouldn’t be so bad at least for a couple of weeks, while i decided which one would be most suitable, then buying from some cheap hk retailer on ebay. unfortunately things didn’t go as planned and a pay phone ate my money . so i bought a mobile.

in good tradition i ended up getting another sony ericsson. a phone which is appealing to look at and very nice to use – they have definitely improved the user interface in recent builds, as menu response times are almost instant (unlike on my z600).

camera quality is quite ok. except when there’s no light. the above images are taken at full resolution (with the casio image downscaled from 6mp -> 2mp). quite an unfair comparison but oh well!
