despite being short a cpu and one sata data cable, the production of psrv2 is well on its way.  final stats are yet to be known for sure, but it will hold over a terabyte for sure

psrv the original will find a place in my room, and still have its 485gb array as well as manage all gateway networking.

i also got hold of a new viewsonic 20″ lcd.  there was no way i could return to a 5:4 lcd after the 4 months spent on my widescreen vaio… so this was a necessary purchase.  it look so nice .

i felt like i couldn’t go through a flight with wireless available and not using it. so i paid the nominal fee of 9.99US for 1 hour access.

i guess its finally nearing the end of my stay in japan…

today was quite a fun yet tiring day.  first of all, i caught the overnight bus from himeji to shinjuku, leaving at 2130 and arriving at 0630.  that was quite a fun ride, but i didn’t get much sleep .

then i stepped off the bus, and faced the problem of getting my suitcase halfway across tokyo in the fucking 26c humid stickiness at 7am…  that took quite a few trains and busses.

then i went to meet tencho!  it turns out he’s quite a long way away from where i am based, and as i absent-mindedly caught a local (stops every stop (客亭)), it took over 3 hours to get there.

we did some work together, and i was his assistant for the day lol.  then ate probably the last decent meal i will eat in japan, and trashed the streets and office buildings on atsugi.

i guess i didn’t mention that i forgot to eat anything from before i boarded the bus, until i ate dinner with tencho. oops.

i doubt ill make another entry before i hit sg to bye for now~

i found this book in the book store the other day. it made me laugh ^^. not only do the botters have blogs entailing their experiences, they have actually found a publisher willing to make a book about it?!

as i’m finally reaching the end of my comparatively long trip to japan, i guess there are a few uncertainties :p. i definitely have a bus booked from himeji -> shinjuku, but what happens in the 47 hours from when i arrive until my plane is ready for boarding is very fumei. i guess that could be fun?!

anyway if anyone’s after my reason for catching a bus rather than a shinkansenn… its because i felt like i’ve already been on the shinkansenn x+5 times and i want to experience one of the overnight coach buses in japan! question is: will i find NSMB at a buyable price before my bus trip .

its nice to be able to take pictures in low light situations. this was taken using my dv camera, along with a lot of nice video of fireworks . i sent my firewire transfer cable home in a box a few weeks ago, so the video won’t surface anywhere around here for at least a month. but look forward to it i guess?
