僕の歩く道

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

An interesting drama i began watching earlier this week (oh the joys of finding stuff to distract from study).  At first i was a bit reluctant to take into the story – one about a man in his 20s affected by autism, who was generally not accepted by society.  We soon see that there are a lot of problems with his close family, when it comes to relationships and values.  He goes on to get a job at the local zoo through a childhood friend, who generally supports him on a level that would make you think she is family.

I find a lot of this time with jdramas that the real good ones are not the ones that grow on you instantly, so i did watch up to the 4th episode (last released).  i must say, it is a very addictive drama – and it has hamsters too!  *goes off in a minimoni chorus*

I must say though, my favourite character in boku no aruku michi would have to be teru’s (autistic guy) sister <3

This drama season is actually going along quite well – at least three out there that are great so far.  Will report some more soon methinks.

ちょっといいドラマ見ました。

Monday, October 30th, 2006

I only recently got around to finishing 「結婚できない男」  (Kekkon Dekinai Otoko – the guy who couldn’t get married), yet i regret taking this long to actually finish watching the series.  I have to say that it is one of the funniest jdramas i have watched so far – and has a myriad of really enjorable actors.  Recommended!

i haven’t really been following the latest season of dramas, but have taken the time to watch the first episodes of a few – just to get an idea of what’s out there.  i can’t say there was too much that impressed me, except for 「たった一つの恋」 (Tatta Hitotsu no Koi – the only love of my life), which i will definitely watch through.  the replacement for gal circle this season is Sailor Uniforms and Machineguns… it is… crazy.  and very similar in storyline to Gokusen – except this time it is a student that gets involved with the yakuza.  i can’t say its unwatchable, but nothing really deep.

on the way home i guess?

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

i guess its finally nearing the end of my stay in japan…

today was quite a fun yet tiring day.  first of all, i caught the overnight bus from himeji to shinjuku, leaving at 2130 and arriving at 0630.  that was quite a fun ride, but i didn’t get much sleep :( .

then i stepped off the bus, and faced the problem of getting my suitcase halfway across tokyo in the fucking 26c humid stickiness at 7am…  that took quite a few trains and busses.

then i went to meet tencho!  it turns out he’s quite a long way away from where i am based, and as i absent-mindedly caught a local (stops every stop (客亭)), it took over 3 hours to get there.

we did some work together, and i was his assistant for the day lol.  then ate probably the last decent meal i will eat in japan, and trashed the streets and office buildings on atsugi.

i guess i didn’t mention that i forgot to eat anything from before i boarded the bus, until i ate dinner with tencho. oops.

i doubt ill make another entry before i hit sg to bye for now~
